On September 12, 2013, The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the U.S. Department of the Treasury released the August 2013 edition of the Housing Scorecard on the nation’s housing market. The housing scorecard data shows most metropolitan areas significantly improving.

More than 1.7 million borrowers benefited from Making Home Affordable Program (HAMP) and over 1.2 million homeowners got permanent modification with HAMP saving approximately $547.00 per month on mortgage payments, up to $21.6 Billion in total savings.
