Why ActiveRain Rocks Real Estate Whether it Rains or Not!

Whether it rains or not, rainmakers are blogging about real estate. Whether the sun is shining or the moon shines, rainmakers are blogging about real estate. In simple terms; “rainmakers” blog about real estate 24/7…

When I first joined ActiveRain I did not blog about real estate, nor did I understand blogging. I joined Activerain by accident, and it might be one of the best accidents I’ve made. That’s right; I stumbled onto ActiveRain without knowing truly what it was about.

Entering the halls of Activerain, (my intentions were pure and simple) “be a better real estate professional” I had no idea how to blog and more importantly I was afraid of writing, let alone writing about real estate. Even though (when it came to writing) I was paralyzed with fear, I had one significant advantage entering ActiveRain. Ever since I can remember I’ve been a positive person, and being a positive was my golden ticket that helped me get past my fear of writing.

“Besides being a positive person” I am also stubborn, and I feel both attributes played a vital role lifting me up on the Rain. Being positive helped me blog and being stubborn helped me get past the fear of writing. Being a positive person allowed me to (as I like to think) stand tall in the rain. In my mind, I was not worried about my poor writing skills; rather, I just focused on “all” the things I have to say about real estate. My positive outlook was a key factor and played a crucial role at the beginning on ActiveRain.

Because of my persistence I was able to get past many hurdles, because of my stubbornness I blog about real estate whether it rains or not. I am lucky that I stumbled on ActiveRain, because of Activerain I am a better real estate professional and for that I am grateful. The more ActiveRain guides me “the better my business get, the more I blog about real estate, “the better my business gets.”

Participating on ActiveRain is better than good; “it’s the best” (bottom line) “I know ActiveRain rocks real estate.” –I want folks to see, ActiveRain has made me a better real estate professional, and I love it.

Jon,

I agree Activerain is awesome!  And I stumbled upon it also.   Blogging about real estate works.  Keep Blogging.  Suggested for a feature.

Jon I had to smile about the two attributes postive and stubborn. I like to think of it as persistant rather than stubborn.  That's more like you!  Persistant with a postive attitude = Jon!

Jon, There's definitely something to be said for being too stubborn to quit when it comes to blogging.  Too many people expect a quick payoff from blogging, and in most cases it's more of a long term investment, and blogging often with consumer content is the key to making the phone ring.

Jon, being positive and standing tall in the RAIN is definitely your nature, I've always liked what you have to say. This blog post would be good for Newbies to read or even some of us old farts who might feel a little intimidated by blogging. My experience was very similar to your first steps but look at me now, everyday brings more and more content and I would hope better blogging skills, Thanks ActiveRain and Thank you Jon.

Mr. Mucci~ anytime I can bring a smile to your face, I'm a winner! "& BTW" ditto on the friendship!...Thanks for the comment!

Bob~ this post would be good for new & old members, but instead this will just be seen by "my" (usual) 30 to40 members......I guess the moderators viewed it differently....Anyway, it is what it is. No matter what, "you're spot on" (blogging is about adding content and sharpening up the pen)

Jon, I've never thought of successful Active Rainers as those who write great material all that well. Personally, I don't think you need a lot of experience in writing to write a good blog, but you do need a lot of patience, persistence and determination. Like Bliz always says, you can't expect a quick payoff...it takes months...months that many bloggers aren't willing to invest it so they leave. You can't reap what you sow if you sow nothing. Great post!

Phil~ thanks for the "perfect" comment...I admire and respect your thoughts and insight, they are spot on...I like the analogy "if you are not getting up to the plate, you'll never get a hit" Thank you for the comment!
