Living Desert Time!

Excited for this scorching summer to be over?  And for the cool fall breeze to slowly possess the desert?  Well, the countdown is here! Soon you’ll be able to walk outside, midday, and not be faced with the displeasing weather. Best part about the desert autumn is that snow doesn’t hail, rain doesn’t fall, cloudy skies don’t set in, but the same, bright, sun shines, just leaving the desert lands a bit cooler. The crisp air let’s one stay active and gives more room to enjoy the outdoor activities. Not only will the evenings be cooler, but the days will be easier to handle and you can finally stay active during the daytime.

Trying to figure out your first fall family outing to welcome in the refreshing weather? Well, we know just the fun place to go with kids, or a fun day with a friend, or even a significant other. The Living Desert is our desert’s unique zoo and gardens located in Palm Desert, California. It’s only 15 minutes away from Palm Springs, but located right in the heart of the Coachella Valley. It is wonderful outdoor experience, especially when the desert weather is at its prime.

Don’t underestimate the Living Desert’s exhibits; they feature a lot of exciting animals! You can go see all types: mammals, birds, reptiles, and even amphibians! You can see cheetahszebras, all types of snakes, desert turtles, and even giraffes! They even have animals featured in shows, and even a petting zoo to get up close and personal with baby goats! Don’t forget to hop on a camel for a camel ride while you’re there, or check out the Wildlife Wonders show where you can learn about desert animals and wildlife! There is plenty more to see and the Living Desert always has something exciting to see, and the staff is extremely friendly and will answer any questions you may have!

Don’t forget to check us out at Todays Realty Group and Loan Solutions located also in Palm Desert, across from the Westfield Shopping mall!

Great information on The Living Desert!  It also has land set aside in its natural state for hiking.  There are several loops, including level walking, up to more moderate - difficult trails up the hills. They have many plants indigenous to the area as well as an area for the endangered local big horn sheep.

They offer treats for little ones in costume for Halloween, and their holiday Wildlights display is unrivaled.
