Active Rain Meetup in Phoenix with Ed Silva!
Today was another one of those great ActiveRain days - I got to meet another rainer in person! Ed Silva called me awhile back saying he'd be going through Phoenix and could we meet up? Of course! I was looking forward to meeting with Ed and his lovely wife. They're here in Arizona taking one of their 'bucket list' trips including Sedona, North Rim of the Grand Canyon and the South Rim of the Grand Canyon as well. Oh how I love to visit all of those places. By now I'm sure they're about ready to watch the sunset at the south rim of the canyon. And if you've never been there to see that be SURE to get that on your bucket list - it is SPECTACULAR!
Ed is as fiesty and fun as he appears in the Rain! I learned a lot about him today from his wife - and Ed too! I had no idea he was such a passionate golfer. And that means passionate golfer, every weekend both days if possible and other days if he can fit it into his schedule (his wife let me in on that secret). What's not to love about that! Nada!
I also learned about his life before real estate as a salesperson on the road and he had some great stories including how it took him a week to get back home during the 9/11 crisis. He's the kind of guy you'd want on your side anytime whether it be business or personal. Ed's an all around really nice guy with a great sense of humor a bit of punch!. Love it!
My husband was able to join us as well and we spent a couple of hours at Starbucks discussing all kinds of fun stuff. We also suggested some of our favorite places to see at the Grand Canyon both the North and South Rim and Sedona. Be sure to be following Ed Silva's blog this next week or so because I'm quite certain he's going to have some spectacular photos and videos. Enjoy your trip you two love birds!
