Do I need an alarm system in my new home?
No, I suppose you don't... but more than that what are the benefits if you do have one installed?
1) Aside from the obvious reason that home that have alarm systems get broken into much less often that those that don't.
2) The ability to view and film the home when you aren't home or if you get an alarm.
3) Gain discounts on your homeowner's insurance that may cover the cost or most of the cost of your monitoring each year.
4) If you use ADT you also get the powerful "One Source" group of benefits as a bonus
a) Sears 30% discount on your purchases for a full year and to include gift certificates
b) If you buy a large appliance or more... like a new washer/dryer they check prices for you at HD and Lowes and if their prices are better Sears will match the price then add your 30% discount. Holy cow.
Can we put in an alarm system with our 203k renovations? Absolutely... but we can get that installation for you for FREE if you talk to my friend Mike Petrillo.
Every Realtor should be offering the "One Source" option to their clients. This service is FREE and contains a group of services but the one single one that makes the most sense for me is the "utility option" where they turn on the services for your client. This is powerful as with so many other items for the buyer to be thinking about this simple solution insure the utilities will be on at the time they move in... POWERFUL
