If you are Going to Arizona, Be Sure to See What's Important

Many people have their 'Bucket List'. I know we do, and we have knocked off some spots these past few years and managed to it ActiveRain Style. In the summer of 2010 we visited Niagara Falls, which is a most wonderful gift from Nature. We managed to meet some fellow Rainers there as well.

This trip is to the Grand Canyon, which is truly one of Mother Nature's works of Art. Standing at the precipice of Mather's Overlook, one is just struck speechless.

Grand CAnyon

Grabd Canyon

Tha Canyon is special and is considered one of the Greatest Wonders of the world, modern age. In standing at the railings looking out, one can hear a mixture of cultures as people from all over the world come to see the Canyon. Most flights into Arizona would run through Phoenix, and if you are a member of ActiveRain, Phoenix can only mean the home of our Top Banana, Anna 'Banana' Kruchten.

We had coffee with Anna, and her husband Gary who also uses the 'Banana' moniker to Rainers.

Anna Banana

Anna, is the friendly person she brings out in her blog, and unfortunately for me, learned a little too much about me while talking to my wife Cauna. The platform brings us so many positives, and the opportunity to meet fellow Rainers even when on vacation is such a bonus. Every meeting is so friendly and there are no tensions that could be associated with first meetings. Hugs and smiles and stories that just bring out the personalities, good and bad.

So if you are a Rainer, and are planning to visit some of the sites of Arizona, be sure to leave some time to have a cup of coffee and laughs, ActiveRain style, with our special Anna Banana.

We're enjoyed the same adventure, but added a helicopter trip that was beyond amazing. You're right about mother nature, she offers many treasures.

Ed, The Grand Canyon is one of those places everyone needs to see in person once.  There's no substitute for the jaw dropping awe of coming through the trees and suddenly seeing it right there in front of you!  I've been twice and it's just amazing.  Great pictures, and had to be a blast to meet Anna in person :)

Joe, the helicopter trip is on Monday, along with the hiking.

Debbie we caught the photos at dusk, I'm sure they will be sensational with the sun.

BLiz, I have flown over many times, but this is a place that all should come to visit at least once.

Sheila, we had our challenges trying to connect but we prevailed, Thank you

Ed I agree the Grand Canyon would and should win hands down....and then come visit me on the way back!  Great photos of the canyon - it's so amazing.  I've been there so many times - dozens and dozens and there hasn't been one time where the beauty hasn't amazed me.  Look forward to reading all your posts and seeing more pictures.  Wait till you get to the north rim - WOW - whole different look and feel.
