Pricing Small Businesses

On September 12, 2013 David Jirasek, ALC, CCIM attended International Business Brokers Association #221 “Pricing Small Businesses” Level 2 class, sponsored by Texas Association of Business Brokers, in Grapevine Texas. This course discussed the Income and Asset Approaches and how to reconcile differences between the various methods including the Direct Market Data Method. Study’s included how and when to use the Capitalized Income Method, Excess Earnings Method, the Multiple of Discretionary Earnings Method and others, as well as how to argue for or against the substance of a third party valuation report.

Thanks. These classes tie in with restaurant, self storage, hotel/motel, and carwash sales in a different way than just traditional real estate educational classes do. Activerain blogs of my listings helps expose them online, and blogs of continuing education I take help promote my services to others. I have received a few residential leads through activerain, but other commercial listing sites do offer more public exposure of active listings.
