Selling Your Connecticut Home? Staging Makes The Master Bedroom A Masterpiece!
When it comes to selling your Connecticut home, the Master Bedroom is one of the most important rooms in the house. After all, it's where the people who are actually paying for the house will spend a lot of personal time! As a professional Home Stager, I strive to provide guidelines to a peaceful, serene retreat that also demonstrates the size and functionality of the space.
Ideally, the bed should be the focal point of the room; it should be the first thing potential buyers see as they enter the room. Of course, not all houses provide this optimal layout (mine sure doesn't!), but as the primary functions of the room all take place on the bed, it should be celebrated! Additionally, you want to demonstrate that a Queen- or even King-sized bed can fit in the room.
Before: There's really nothing wrong with this room. Yes, there is nice furniture and decor that flows with the rest of the house. However, the bed is not the focal point of the room. Also, there is no art on the walls. (You can see some art laid out on the bed that we'll hang later...)
After: The bed has been moved so it is now the focal point. A "headboard" effect was created with upright pillows and artwork, creating verticality and visual interest. Changing the bed linens added a more calming, restful appeal. And, by moving the bed away from the entry wall, there is now clearly room for a larger, King-sized bed should the buyers prefer.
Such simple, low-cost solutions to help sell your house faster! Nestings Home Staging Connecticut can help!
