Keller ISD invites parents to join in this Thursday, Sept. 19th at 9:00 a.m. at Keller ISD schools district-wide as KISD officially launches its anti-bullying campaign.
The program is called Reaching Out with Character and Kindness (ROCK), and the Kickoff Event is from 9:00-9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19th. Students and staff will join hands across the district. During this district-wide, one-time event, 33,000 KISD students and staff will join hands in front of the Keller ISD campuses and reach out toward the nearest campus in a show of unity to eliminate bullying and harassment.
The students will be given a green ROCK bracelet to wear to show support for our Reaching Out with Character and Kindness in Keller ISD. Students will be outside at 9:00 and at 9:10 will join hands to show their unity.
If parents would like to join KISD for this event, parents are welcome to come up and join hands. Parents will need to be onsite by 9:00 so that they won’t miss it. KISD expects to be back in classrooms by 9:20.
Students at some elementary schools have been given a paper doll cut out that they will decorate as themselves on Thursday afternoon. Friday during the day, the students will take their cut out and glue it on the wall in the hallway making a chain throughout the school. This will be a reminder to them that they ROCK!
