The school year is well underway and families are busy with the activities that come along with it. Take a break from the chaos and participate in some thrilling events going on near you. Here are five things to do in Williamsburg this month.

Celebrate the beautiful fall weather by joining your community at the Occasion for the Arts event. The event will be complete with unique are and music, right in the Merchants Square Area of Colonial Williamsburg.

Head out to Historic Yorktown to participate in the greatest wine festival in the area. Pack a pinic for you and your significant other to enjoy along with the music and busy vendors surrounding you.

If you’re a military enthusiast, this ones for you. Come out to the exhibit to learn about everything related to military history, as well as to see more than 100 exhibitors and vendors displaying books, toy soldiers, antique weapons and more.
When: October 19th, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Head out to Historic Yorktown Area to celebrate the history of this beautiful city. There will be patriotic ceremonies, as well as a parade, drum performance and plenty of other activities that the whole family can enjoy.
Night at the Army Transportation Museum
When: October 28th 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Admission: Free
Bring the family out to this wonderful family event. Come out and trick-or-treat, all children 12 and under who are dressed in costume will receive a goody bag. Additionally, there will be face painting and arts and crafts for all.
