I was just thinking of how hard Real Estate Agents are working these days to hit their target on getting sellers to list. While it is true that there is no substitute for experience it is also an important factor that Real Estate Agents should go through the proper avenues of education and must obtain a license. But as a seller, what are we really looking for in an agent, why are they important to us?
- Real Estate Agents are there to help us whether we are buying or selling a house. A real estate agent’s job is very challenging profession and if you are someone who doesn’t have the time to waste then face it, you need one. You would be considered foolish if you tried to manage without an attorney if you were in trouble with the law and only a fool would represent themselves in a court of law so why would you not want their professional services?
- Real Estate Agents take care of the listing of your house on the MLS. MLS is a central database that participating agents use to share information about properties. This way your home will reach the eyes of many potential buyers. Granted a FSBO can do the same thing but good Real Estate Agents go the extra mile. They market in out of the box ways that reach out to that buyer who will pay top dollar.
- Real Estate Agents are knowledgeable as approximately how much money a house is worth. They can help you figure out as to how much your house is worth. So can an appraisal I hear you cry but a savvy agent will give you a free, no obligation quote even if you are just wanting to test the water.
- Real Estate Agents will make sure that contracts and other legal matters are prepared. They know the procedure and laws that have to do with buying or selling the house.
- Real Estate Agents will point buyers to the right people if buyers will have a need to get a loan if they needed financial assistance to buy a house.
- Real Estate Agents that are really good at what they do treat everyone with respect, be it a buyer, a seller or a renter. Some of them realize that every person they deal with could one day be their client.
Buying or selling a house is a very important decision because houses cost a lot of money and for the majority of folks it’s the biggest purchase you are ever likely to make. No one forces us to use a Real Estate Agent. But the fact remains that they continue to exist is enough evidence that their services are useful to most of us. To sum it up Real Estate Agents simply provide a stress-free service to buyers and sellers.
