Change in VA Loan Guidelines

By
Mortgage and Lending NMLS #371291

Recently, the Veteran Administration made a change in VA loan guidelines.  In the past, a VA eligible borrower could not pay for any repairs that needed to be done on a home prior to closing.  Now, they have changed the rule and the Veterans Administration does allow the borrower to pay.  One caveat is that the repairs needed to be done must be put on the purchase contract and reviewed by the underwriter.  The Veterans Administration Office makes changes now and then and we like to keep everyone informed.  Be sure to watch this week's Military Moment Video (click below) and check out our library of VA related videos on our YouTube Channel.
