All of our gadgets are touted as getting smarter and smarter every day.
"Smart" is not just an attribute for phones any more. Everything from cars to televisions to refrigerators are taking on more of our thinking workload every day.
Since we no longer have to think so much for ourselves anymore, it is safe to assume that our brains will experience some level of atrophy and simply begin to erode away.
I kind of like the idea of not having to think so much anymore. Thinking can be the genesis of nightmares and headaches.
Shutting down the brain, on the other hand, can lead to euphoria and bliss!
And I could use a little of that right about now.
