There was a huge jump in the number of residential properties sold in South Portland between the 2nd quarter of 2012 to the second quarter of 2013. In 2013, 128 properties were sold, 45% more than the previous year. There was also a 7.5% increase in sold price to $243K.
South Portland is home to the largest full service marina in the state. It is also home to Willard Beach, a small sand and pebble beach located near Southern Maine Community College.
