Greetings Rainers,
My name is John Kleinberg, broker, Homeland Realtors, Inc., 443-253-9306. I have been in Real Estate since September 1975 and a broker since 1978.
Since this is my first post, ever... I would like to use this opportunity to express my gratitude to my all time favorite Realtor, Margaret Rome.
I met Margaret Rome at a Zillow Summit while she was talking with a zillow rep about her website. I asked if I could look over her shoulder to learn what I could.
I should say Margaret invited me to listen in and in the blink of an eye, we connected.
She invited me to come to an open house she was having on Wednesday and I said "I would try".
She didn't stop there though. She called me on the phone prior to the open house and asked me to visit the open house again.
Normally, I just don't go to these things but something told me to follow this thread.
Her open house was near a home I sold to a very talented client, Tim Thompson, another type E Mystic like myself, who holds a Masters Degree in art. He recently left Valley Craftsmen, Ltd. (a high end faux finishing company with a national following) where he was the executive vice president, to start his own business. Margaret's listing was contemporary and similar to Tim's home so I brought him along.
I was subconsciously aware that Margaret was unique and introduced Tim to Margaret. I remember clearly when I introduced Tim, I said "Tim, this is Margaret Rome, she is not your regular agent, she is a very special agent". Intuitively, I knew Margaret was gifted. I hadn't fully understood why and then...
As I walked into the kitchen, I noticed a few copies of a paperback book titled
"Real Estate the Right Way" with the word Right crossed out and the name Rome above.
I asked about the book and Margaret said to see her before I left to get one. Well, when I was ready to go she autographed the book for me and wrote to me:
"To John" "You are special" "All the best" Margaret 8/14/13
So, why do I ask if you believe in spirit guides?
I have been dealing with an illness off and on for the last few years and my career was drifting south.
Furthermore, I had recently met an associate broker who was ready to bust loose and become a broker. I think I pushed her off the cliff and she went on her own.
My best advice to her was to become a good independent agent and build her own business before thinking about hiring agents.
At this point I felt obligated to give this new broker any good guidance I could even though I was far behind the curve myself.
Within 2 weeks, I connect with, I believe, one of my spirit guides in the form of Margaret Rome.
Margaret hands me a road map (her book) at just the right time to get me back on track with my business and at the same time it allowed me to pass on a superior, laser accurate focused education (to the new broker) espousing the very knowledge she needs to become successful as an independent broker/agent.
I have listened to a number of the successful business philosophers on audio programs such as Jim Rohn and Brian Tracy.
They offer great insights for expanding our minds and I love that.
However, they don't give the information away freely or inexpensively and they surely don't know my specialized field of interest in real estate sales in the Baltimore area.
Along comes Margaret Rome who has been an A+ student in learning the business of selling Baltimore real estate (and surrounding areas) for well over 20 years.
From all of her sale transactions, study, effort, and research she has gathered her best ideas and practices. Margaret shares this treasure with absolutely anyone who is willing to pick up her book! It is no surprise that she is a Nurse.
(Talk about getting to stand on the shoulder of giants!)
I have read her book and have made and continue to make dramatic changes in how I will do business going forward.
Margaret Rome is positive energy, a beam of light! ... shining her light on those lucky enough to cross her path!
Best Wishes to All!
