Athens Alabama Market Report 09/21/2013

This report shows what's going on with home pricing and average days on the market for homes in the greater Athens Alabama area.  While the median home price took a dip and bottomed out in March of this year those prices have steadily been on the rise and a above pre 2013 prices.  The average days on the market have been high, however, that statistic is also improving to the lowest point since November of last year.  I mention this because of a subdivision of new homes that I'm promoting; Piney Creek Athens Alabama. 

In my opinion these homes are under valued and are a great deal considering that homes are selling quicker with home values going up.  One of the recent home sales in Piney Creek appraised well above it's selling price with the buyer getting instant equity.  While home prices in Piney Creek range from $238,000 to $326,000 all homes have recently gone through price adjustments for a quick sale.  What's the catch?  Well, if there is a "catch" it is that these homes are foreclosures...taken;  Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure...redemption rights may apply, but the build has waived his rights.
