Have you heard about Contest- The Virtual Traveler from Fishhawk Lake Real Estate? We all love a good contest and I must say this one has a refreshing twist to it. The bottom line is to write a post about somewhere we would like to visit based on local blogs written by an Active Rain member.
Traveling is one of my favorite hobbies and because of that fact, I have visited all but 5 states in the United States of America. Having seen 90% of the country I do have my favorites for different places all for different reasons. I love traveling to the northeast during the fall or to a sunny beach in the winter months.
When I read the description for this contest, I didn't hesitate for one second. I knew exactly where I would like to visit.
Probably for as long as I have been on Active Rain, I have been reading the blog posts by Dick Greenberg. I have learned so much about blogging, but have also learned about Fort Collins, Colorado. Now, I have already visited Denver, Vail, and Grand Junction. I have enjoyed concerts at Red Rocks, and have always enjoyed time hiking in the mountains.
Just recently Dick wrote a few great blogs about Fort Collins and some of the many ways to see the community. Now who wouldn't enjoy taking in the sights while touring the area in a restored streetcar?? Dick even included a short video for you to enjoy. The Fort Collins Municipal Railway.
Dick wrote another bog about the "old town" charm of the community and all of the beautiful flowers that abundantly decorated the streets. Here is the blog for you to enjoy, The Flowers of Old Town.
I always enjoy an interesting activity and recently 20,000 people came to enjoy the New Belgium Brewing Tour de Fat in Fort Collins.
After considering all, it looks like Fort Collins is a great place to live. I will certainly put a visit on my bucket list.
