This is just for fun (especially since I don't feel like working now). It's fun to go back into the archives of Active Rain and see the milestones hit.
When I first joined Active Rain (July 3rd, 2010), there were only 2 Active Rain Millionaires. As I recall, if you looked at the first page of the leaderboard, you only needed around 500,000 or so points to qualify. As of today (9/22/13) there are now 80 Activerain Millionaires! To make it to the 1st page of the leaderboard, you need at least 1,157,261 points! Wow! And, with 599,000 points, you will only make it to page 6 of the leaderboard.
Of course, now we have 3 members with over 2,000,000 points - Lenn Harley, Patricia kennedy and Todd Clark
Granted, I came here 4 yrs after this platform started, so I do not have the full history here. I did a few searches on here to try to gather some history. It's a bit challenging to find exactly what I wanted, but here's what I found.
Todd Clark was the first Active Rain Millionaire and he reached that goal on 4/27/10. He was shortly followed by Lenn Harley on 6/15/10 and it sounds like she made that goal while she was at Raincamp. That must of been fun! Of course Lenn has now surpassed him at the 2 million point mark. Patricia Kennedy was #3 on 11/10/10 and I believe Jeff Dowler was #4 1/7/11. (There was another past AR member who is no longer here and I can't remember when he hit the 1 million pt mark). Katerina Gasset hit 1 million points on 3/21/11 but I can't remember what # she was.
And, here is the timeline I was able to discover:
9/25/11 18 millionaires - Donna Harris was the 18th
12/31/11 23 millionaires
9/10/12 40 millionaires
9/18/12 41 millionaires - Jennifer Fivesdal was the 41st
12/21/12 49 millionaires
1/12/13 55 millionaires - I was the 55th
4/5/13 62 millionaires - Kathy Streib was the 62nd
6/9/13 67 millionaires
9/21/13 80 millionaires - Tony Weidman was the 80th
Who will be the next Active Rain Millionaire? We have 5 that are within 10,000 pts: Karen Anne Stone, Paul Henderson, Praful Thakkur, David Saks and Myrl Jeffcoat.
