EDUCATION

Everything you need to know in life begins with education. Parents send their children to school to learn in hopes they have a better future. Adults who take continuing education also have a dream about sharpening their skills. Many professionals have mandatory education to keep their license. There are those who enroll in a class because they have an interest in learning something new, or perhaps because they are thinking about changing or developing a new career. There are many reason why people believe in education. People who never stop learning, regardless of whether or not they succeed or fail do inspire others and often leave a memorable legacy. Examples of people who lived, learned, failed and succeeded include Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Edison, Mother Teresa, and Steve Jobs.

VISION

The vision of what you want to achieve in life starts with education and becomes clear when you teach others to learn so that they may also make a difference in this world. This post is dedicated to Karen Otto, a Professional Stager, an intellectual, visionary, and a member of multiple professional organizations, such as Accredited Staging Professional, RESA, METROTEX, ActiveRain, etc.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Collin County Community College is a local community college that serves the people in North Dallas. The school is located at 4800 Preston Park Boulevard in Plano, Texas. Karen Otto, member of ActiveRain teaches Home Staging twice a year. I was lucky enough to enroll in Karen's class and I highly recommend anyone who wants to learn more about the reasons why staging works takes a class with Karen Otto.

A student knows within the first couple of minutes whether or not they signed up for the right class. From the moment I arrived until the time class was over there was high energy. Karen made the learning environment fun and educational!

Karen covered many topics of interest, such as :

"What Staging Is"

"Why Stage?"

"Staging to Dwell and Staging to Sell"

"Recipe for a Good Home Sale"

One of the best ways to learn is by having fun. Karen makes class fun. Here is Karen giving her students "The Lunch Box Lesson." Teachers get all kinds of students, including REALTORS®. Not only is Karen a great Teacher, she's edgy, tech savy and someone whom you want to aspire to become! While many teachers sound authoritative and ask you to shut your phones off, Karen encourages tweeting and sharing while class is in session!

Pupils should always respect their teacher, they are an instrument of learning, a beacon of light, always willing, ready and able to teach anyone who has a willingness to learn.

MOTIVATION, INSPIRATION, EDUCATION & PERSUASION

When the student is ready, they will learn. A Teacher like Karen Otto is a gift. She connects with her students. A Teacher is a very important part of the community. Collin County Community College is a great place to learn. Rarely does anyone forget a great Teacher.

KAREN OTTO is memorable. She motivates and inspires others. Her educational and persuasive techniques translates into wisdom for all ages.

How fun - and what a wonderful shout out for Karen. Very cool on your part. I too love to keep gaining knowledge - we are never too old to learn new things. In fact, it keeps us from getting old. Hahaha.

I am truly humbled by your post Patricia and completely honored that you took the time on a Saturday to come and take the course along with writing this review.  It is always my hope to inspire and empower anyone who takes the class to not only understand why staging is important in order to sell a home but also to perhaps help them discover their passions and interest as they journey through their lives and settle into new and often exciting career changes. Adult continuing education classes are just perfect for that.

Your insightful contributions in class were so appreciated; "standing in the door and safety issues to consider" ...I love when stories get shared and others hear about new things to consider when selling their homes. Imagine it even can save their lives!

I look forward to seeing you next Saturday and again am very grateful and touched by your kind words.

Patricia, a teacher makes a world of difference in how students learn.  I have taken many classes in my life time, and how much I retain is related to the person teaching the class.  There are teachers that have put me to sleep no matter how interesting the topic was, and there are teachers that I never wanted the class to stop, because they made even a boring topic seem like the most important thing in the world.  Teaching is an art and talent, apparently Karen is one of those teachers.
