Someone Recently Told Me to Read a Book…OK Activerain I am Reading

I prefer mysteries and find a lot of good shows on TV so for fun I watch medical shows that are soapy but interesting. TV entertains me while I am working on the computer at night. But I must confess that one of my favorite shows is “Haven” which is a sci-fi show involving a few not so normal characters living in a small coastal community in Maine.

The main reason I do not read much anymore because about half way through a book, I just figure out the plot. It makes me so mad and I really do not try but it just pops into my head.  So I lose interest in the book and finally finish it and find I was right. So I prefer TV as it is easier to guess half way through the 1 hour series than an entire book.

So I bought a book recently after reading the reviews on the internet. “The Colorado Kid” written by Stephen King is the prelude to the series ‘Haven’. Many of the reviews on-line said they did not like the book since when they finished it; the mystery had not been solved. So I thought that this would be the perfect book for me and maybe it would help me make sense of the TV show now in its 4^th season. I did not watch the first two seasons so I guess I have some catching up to do.

Anyway, I am now reading this book and totally enjoying it. I do not think I will be figuring out this mystery. Good!

 I love Stephen King’s books, mini series and movies. Remember Carrie, Children of the Corn, Christine, Cujo, The Green Mile, and one of my favorites “Rose Red”.  Currently the TV show “Under the Dome” was created by Stephen King. King is a fantastic writer and has written hundreds of books. So now that I am in the middle of this book, I must start thinking of my next book to read.
