Pinterest For Real Estate
Are you using Pinterest as one of your social media platforms of choice? If not you should seriously consider doing so as it is one of the fastest growing social media platforms. Pinterest is a great way of promoting your Real Estate business and of course your expertise as a Realtor. You blog here and elsewhere why not promote what you are doing to a larger audience?
Did you know that Pinterest is also good for SEO? There are some folks who have created Real Estate boards that show up for competitive local keyword searches. Pinterest can be a very powerful tool in your marketing arsenal if used properly.
Besides creating your own individual boards there is also the opportunity at Pinterest to have a group board. One of the things I have decided to do is create a group Real Estate board that I am going to invite all of your here at Active Rain to join. This will be another fantastic way to not only grow your Pinterest following but to highlight your skills as a Real Estate blogger.
This Pinterest Group Real Estate board is going to feature articles that are centered around all facets of Real Estate including general sales advice, staging, home improvement, mortages and finance, law, technology and social media. As you can see there is something for everyone.
I am going to encourage all of you to invite those in the industry who you know will benefit from joining. The larger the group board becomes the greater the opportunity for you to pick up other like minded Real Estate followers and increase the readership of your blog.
One thing to keep in mind though - this will not be a place for listing promotion. The point of the board will be to share not only your best Real Estate related articles but others you have seen online that are fantastic as well.
Over the last few months I have started to really enjoy Pinterest quite a bit. The traffic coming from Pinterest to my own Real Estate blogs is growing. In fact besides Google Plus, Pinterest has become my second favorite social media platform. You can take a look at Bill Gassett on Pinterest for some ideas on how you can construct your boards if you are not already using Pinterest.
Pinterest keeps improving all the time and just yesterday they rolled out what is called "rich pins" which allows your posts to be displayed far more promenantly both at the site and in search if you have your blog set up to do so. The new enriched pins will include relevant information in a more enhanced fashion that helps your blog articles get traction, including your:
*Story Headline
*Author Name
*A Description of the article (like your meta description)
*The Source URL
So while you may have already pinned articles to Pinterest in the past like I have, now they are going to look way better! The images will be bigger, and information like your meta data is displayed more prominently. You can read about this pinterest news on Google Plus. Take a look at Pinterest if you have not done so already. You will be glad you did!
