MARTA Expansion and GA400 Corridor:
For those of us who depend on a strong and thriving economy as well as continued population growth and manageable commutes to boost home sales in North Atlanta; last night's MARTA expansion plans presentation at the Alpharetta, Georgia Town Hall provided few concrete details.
Of the several hundred people in attendance, most seemed to have a faborable view of extending MARTA's Heavy Rail Alternative from the current and final Station at North Springs, to Windward Parkway. Requested feedback primarily centered on the projected location of future stations and less on cost and projected ridership should the Heavy Rail proposal move forward.
Everyone in attendance agreed that North Atlanta's traffic is a nightmare and something needs to be done about lengthier and more stressful commutes, but the MARTA planned expansion presentation did little to calm that concern.
