On September 24, 2013, our Keller Williams Realty Louisville East team Bluegrass Homes & Farms sponsored a golf team in the LG&E "The Power of One" Golf Scramble held at Cardinal Hills Golf Course in Bedford KY (Trimble County). The event was held to benefit charities, one of which was the Crusade for Children based in Louisville.
There were 25 teams which made close to 100 people participating. They played 18 holes and we were served yummy barbecue sandwiches, chicken salad, chips, baked beans, cookies, and drinks.
A silent auction was held with various items like coolers, golf bags and other golf supplies, caps, shirts, flashlight, basket of goodies from Bray Orchards, and tickets to games like University of Kentucky, Cincinnati Bengals, and Louisville Bats.
Bluegrass Homes and Farms' lead agent, Linda Jackson-Bailey and I attended and had a wonderful time! I had the opportunity to meet the owners of Cardinal Hills Golf Course, Sharon Starks and her son Steven, who were gracious hosts. I was impressed with how meticulous the facilities were kept - like new - even though they have been in business for almost 50 years!
