Website's Oops!

The last full moon must still be around in my area!  After checking some of my online listings, on different websites, I found this gem, hit the help button and sent this message to them.  I just did this, last night.  This is on Trulia.com.

my listing 7-6 Oak Forest Rd, Manchester, Ct  is sold.  However, the bathroom number is incorrect.  it is 1.5 baths and your system has made that to read, 6 bathrooms!  Please correct the property information.  Imagine a condo with 6 bathrooms??

1.5 baths

Today, I had a reply email from them and I thought, thank goodness!   No, it was a message stating that I sent it to the wrong department.  They offered me the correct department to send it to and I did that, today. Too bad that they just didn't forward it within their company.  Now, it will be another day without the correct information on my listing.  So many of these are autofeed from our local mls system, which they pay for.  The issue I have is, it is my listing and they are not offering the correct information.  When I attempt to edit the listing, I cannot.  Apparently, that is in the agreement that they have with my local mls system.

Sharing my frustration because if you think about it, without my ability to acquire listings, all of these folks would have less work to do, maybe, not even have a job.  This reflects to the general public, on me.  They have no idea how our systems work or don't work.  If only we could edit and correct the information!  Fighting for correct information!  Any suggestions for a quicker response from them?

Frances that is not good, hope it does not have a big negative impact on the listing.

By the way I like the idea of his and hers side  by side toilets

Fran, there is a no win wth that as the sites don't care about accuracy they just want people to pay for the leads you help them generate

George, LOL!  I never thought of that!  Could have been a good ad:)  Maybe, next time.  I hope to have more listings in the complex.

Ed, Yup, it's all about the dollars.  Meanwhile, I chase down their errors and try to have correct information offered to the public.

The websites have way way too much weight in sellers' minds too - and Trulia, Zillow, and Realtor.com are not all that useful either for buyers.

Lise, Thankd you.  Agreed, just tired of the mls controlling the ad content.  Doesn't seem right to me.
