Have You Visited Your Capital Lately?
I always enjoy visiting the capitals whenever the opportunity arises, such an extreme sense of History, Art, and Architecture.
Over the years I have visited quite a few of them, many are very similar except for the art which is generally unique to the state that they are in.
The most unique one was in New Mexico where it was not only smaller than the others but had that unique southwestern flavor to it with a bit of the local adobe look as so many things in Sante Fe do.
Of course the Capital of Wisconsin is a favorite, since I seem to have many more opportunities to visit here.
Our capital has some great art works, great architecture, great history, and a great forest surrounding it.
Many trees in one of my forests started out as acorns and walnuts that I picked up from in front of this capital, and yesterday I picked up another bag of walnuts while my dogs were busy chasing squirrels on the capital lawn.
As I noted in my previous blog post, yesterday my son Nick and I and two dogs headed down to Madison to visit a dear relative and visit the capital and it was a grand day of visiting and sightseeing.
Enjoy some pics from our capital and then please post a picture from your capital in the comments below.
