Let The Battle Begin!
The ideas jostle like puppies, tumbling over each other, pick me, pick me! The dichotomy of blogging, cerebral or visceral, inspiration or perspiration? Darwinian selection, only one idea at a time may find the path to expression, the rest of you, fall in line, wait your turn....will it make you happy if I make a title and save you to Draft?
Now to unleash the hounds, the written legacy of a particular post, will it be digitally disposable or find evergreen status and continue to serve the writer long after fingers have left keyboard? Digital debris or etched in the brain, remembered long after the actual turn of phrase escapes us?
Sometimes merely penned to appease the creative portion of our minds, no eye on business but breaking away from the normal bounds of subdivision after subdivision description, market trends that go up, down & sideways, all those necessary reports, rote repetition month to month that must be repeated but offer no writer's high, no endorphin release.
Will we delight the spirits of our past English teachers, or torment them with our lack of adherence to proper form and function, the dreaded .... installed to suggest a lull that in verbal expression we can hear, but in written form how do you make the reader stop, look and listen for the thought straining to be heard in the intended silence?
It's a fleeting attempt to wrest attention in a world maddeningly unable to concentrate beyond 140 characters. Can we create the turn of phrase that resonates, creates sparks and binds reader to writer, or another exercise in futility? If not today, perhaps tomorrow, because the battle begins anew with each new dawn. Once more into the fray....
