Few people know that our beautiful State, Connecticut, is an up and coming wine region. The Connecticut Wine Trail is an organization that is trying to spread the word of the wide variety of wine our state can offer. There are 25 Wineries on the Connecticut Wine Trail. The wineries are clustered in the Litchield Hills Region in the western portion of the state and also in the South Eastern part of the state closer to the shoreline. There are also a few wineries scattered in the central part of the state and the "quiet eastern corner" of the state. All the wineries offer amazing wines paired with classic New England charm. There are many ways to enjoy Connecticut's Wine Trail. I recommend you first visit The Connecticut Wine Trail website. They have many events coming up at different wineries. You can also take a look at their map and map out a few destinations you can drive to on your own. If you are wanting someone else to take care of the driving there are several limousine companies that would be more than happy to accommodate. There is also Regency Wine Tours which offer tours for groups of 15 people or more. You can even make a weekend out of it and stay at a cozy bed and breakfast!

So why not take a drive this weekend and take in some beautiful New England Fall views while tasting some of the best Wine around. If your drive takes you through the Naugatuck River Valley be sure to stop by and visit us at Pond Spring Village. We are an active adult community located in Beacon Falls, CT. Our spacious duplex style homes offer a one car garage, granite counters, and an open floor plan. New and exciting floor plans soon to come! Our open houses as always will be held from 12-3 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. If you prefer a private showing Linda Mayfield or Ken Shove would be happy to accommodate you!
