It is all about seeing the light. Compact fluorescent bulbs (CFL) to be exact. If you haven't crossed over yet, there is no better time to make the change than today and here's why.

  • Save Green – Who doesn't like to save cash? Stop throwing money out the window.
  • Conserve Energy - Use less energy and accomplish the same result.
  • Quick and Easy - Purchase at the store, unscrew, re-screw. Not that hard!
  • Improved technology make the light look natural and not blue. CFL's are dimmable now too.

On average CFL bulbs cost $60 to install in your home and your annual savings on energy costs is $80 according to Greenandsave.com. For my money minded friends, that gives you a 133% return on your investment. They also last longer and use way less electricity.

I know what some of you are thinking- I'll just wait for my old bulbs to run out. Well don't! You are continuing to waste energy at an alarming rate. Incandescent bulbs use 70% more energy than CFL bulbs. Make the switch if you haven't already today. I took inventory of my own house and found 17 CFL's and 15 regular bulbs. How does your house stack up?

Do yourself and the environment a favor and commit to changing out all of the light bulbs in your home to CFL's. You cannot change anyone other than yourself and you can make a difference. Pat yourself on the back if you’ve already switched over and tell your friends!
