Is your Mother or Father near the end of life? If they are a World War II veteran, they may take a while to rest easy. Michele Bachman has declared at the World War II memorial today that the Tea Party has gotten exactly what they want.
That was an exceptional locale to announce that her tactics and those of her comrades will make sure that WWII veterans will not be interred in a timely and honored fashion. The government shutdown assures that.
Well, congratulations, Michele Bachman, my representative to the House, for not only making life more difficult for seniors and veterans, but also making sure that you rub their noses in it.
One would hope that this nonsense would be over soon. One would hope that the furloughed employees, and those who are considered essential and who must report for duty despite having no paycheck coming in, would be allowed to continue to work WITH PAY as most everyone in the private sector enjoys.
BUT, the radicals want to not only SHUT DOWN the government but destroy the full faith and credit of the American government.
This is a first-grade fight in the Congress. Who backs down first and at what cost?
