Redding

Topstone Park is a scenic, family friendly, dog friendly, even horse friendly, year round park.  During the summer Topstone Park Beach is open.  What a great place to bring your family and friends for swimming, picnicking and hiking.  There is even a separate beach for your dog to swim called "Magee's swimming hole," there your dog can frolic off leash.

This park encompasses 280 acres of beautiful, undeveloped land. During the summer season there are lifeguards on duty, you may also use the park's kayaks, paddle boats and canoes for no extra charge.  Private swim lessons are offered and you can host birthday parties at the park, what a lovely setting. Special programs are now being offered, they range from family fun nights to outdoor lectures. These events are hosted by lifeguards, residents or other guests of the park.

More fun activities at Topstone Park

  • Horseback riding
  • Fishing
  • Dogs allowed
  • Boating
  • Hiking
  • Camping
  • Grilling

For your safety there are restrictions on some of these activities and permission must be granted by the Parks and Recreation Commission for some of these activities as well.

What a wonderful year round park and

a great asset to the residents of Redding!!

Who would have known about this Park in Redding CT unless you outed it for home buyers to know about...sounds like a great outdoor addition to activities to explore right now, Dagny.

Thanks, Dagny; I didn't know about it.  I may have to head there to enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves!
