Georgina Hunter is indeed one ActiveRainer I would love to meet in person! Georgie is a Realtor out on the Hawaiian Island of Maui and has been an ActiveRainer since 2007.
While we have done business together, we have never met in person. It just so happens that I have a client that purchased a vacation condo from me here in Pinellas County. One day over lunch she mentioned that she had a home on Maui that she would love to sell and she was not pleased with the Realtor she had purchased the home from years ago. She wanted to know if I had any ideas. That was a no-brainer since Georgina and I had been blogging together for years and I had visited her website often! Needless to say, the home was sold quickly and my client now loves Georgina!!
What makes this Canadian girl so special? Well, first let me tell you a little about her and I think it will all fall into place. Georgina met her hubby and the love of her life while studying biology at the University of British Columbia. They visited Maui together in 1978 and moved there in 1980 because they fell in love with the island.
Having built their own homes and being avid farmers, they own an oceanfront cattle ranch and raise their own organic beef there. Both Georgina and her husband Murray believe in 'living off the grid'. They
take advantage of both wind and solar power to achieve just that and Georgina shares information on living off the grid on her website. Her website is a wealth of knowledge about green homes and independent living.
Georgina Hunter is a person I would love to meet in person. She is somebody I wish lived closer so I could get to know her better. I admire what she and her husband have achieved and how they live their lives and for this reason would love to call her my friend, as well as a fellow ActiveRainer!
