Point2 Professional - Good?? Bad??

By
Real Estate Agent with Tierra Antigua Realty

I have had a Z57 website for 5 years. I have also had an SEO company working on my site for 18 months. I am thinking of changing to the Point2 Pro version and switching SEO companies to Compass Internet Systems (endorsed by Broker Agent News).

I am looking for any feedback - good or bad - about Point2 Pro.

Thanks!

Howdy Jo Ann

I hear and read only good things about Point2 Pro.

I am going to be up grading to Pro myself.

Have a good one

Jo-Ann, you'll want to be careful when switching companies  to make sure that the SEO work that's already been done on your Z57 site is transferred to your Point2 site.  The best way to do this is to copy your content, title and meta tags from your Z57 directly into your Point2 site. No need to switch SEO companies as it looks like the company that has been doing your work is competent. I have a lotof my Point2 clients using DomainDrivers.com (Dirk Johnson) to build links back to their Point2 sites, which is the other essential step beyond on-site SEO work.

I've been very pleased with the up graded version of Point 2. I think the customization the site provides along with the other tools (blog, lead tracking, ultra stats, etc) make it worth the money.

I have a point2 basic site and I am very pleased with the results. I often wonder if I would be able to handle the response if I upgraded to a Pro site. I plan to do so in a couple of weeks when I am "fuller" time. I've changed 98% of my basic site to meet my needs and business model. Point2 Agent works for me. :-)

Jo Anne, I have the professional site and have been happy.  I actually do my own SEO and have done fairly good with it.  I did have it professionally designed though so it does not look like a point 2 agent site.

Ross Quintana 509-362-1966I use pro and I love the rss feature, a must for quick updated content. I like the other features too. I wouldn't hire a seo company. You can learn the basics and just set up your site with a smart pattern and go from there. You need a good site more than trying to optimize it better. Quality wins in the end and many SEo companies can actually harm your rankings with tactics. Plus if you don't know enough to know what they are doing you may be paying for nothing.

We used Z57 for a little over a year. After trying Point2 Standard for a month, our company had more leads from them than we had the whole year with Z57. We will probably upgrade to Professional before long because the standard doesn't have site maps. Even without that, Point2 has been a whole lot better for our company. I hate to bad mouth another company, but if Z57 does not credit my account for the bad service we received, I will be blogging soon to let other paying customers be aware of our bad experience so they won't get ripped off too.

I upgraded a few months ago to Point2 Professional, and so far it has been great. I especially like the drip email capabilities. There is also a good blog built in, but I have not fully taken advantage if it yet.

I just took clients from a Homes.com site after 8 years and moved them to Point 2 Pro site and did what Suzanne suggested which was to move basic content, and the titles of pages etc. and have been pleasantly surprised to see it indexed pretty quickly and right where we need to be. I think it would be a great move!!

Great comments from everyone. For those who have the basic - how many leads a month do you get from your site? Those with the upgraded option, how many do you get?

Jo ann, the point2 site, in my opinion, is good.  I'm starting to get more hits, and I'm closing on a lead later this month because of it.  I haven't done the fancy upgrades yet, but that'll be done at a later time.  I refer all my clients to it and even though a lot of the agents in my office say it has too much info, the clients think it's great and very informative.

Jo Ann;

I recently went with point2 and I am very happy so far...I've always been able to reach someone on the phone when I've needed help.  I have not had time to take advantage of all that is offered yet but I'm getting there.

I switched to the professional version of point2 for several reasons. I can have up to 250 web pages, I can purchase and assign domains to my listings, It has a blog built in, helping with your seo for the site. The ultrastats feature will give you valuable information on customer searches and landing pages. And if you hire someone to modify your site like Suzanne Stevens, she has a lot more options on the appearance with the professional version.

My site has not been modified by a professional yet, but it still manages to capture leads. Take a look
