I am supposed to be at a real estate conference beginning tomorrow. On the way, my vehicle developed a problem which required me to return home and miss my first night at the Hilton Doubletree in Virginia Beach, VA.
Knowing that I would miss the majority of the Friday sessions (it's a four hour drive to VA Beach), I called the hotel to see if I could move the reservation to another date and just enjoy a four day weekend.
Hilton's response? NO. This is the last time I will stay in a Hilton hotel in this country or abroad. If I was flippantly changing my reservation, it would be different, but to penalize me because I had car trouble is unreasonable.
I've spent a lot of money in Hilton Hotels in the past three decades without a single request for a reservation change. Bye-bye Hilton Hotels. You will never see my family again. Poor customer service does not deserve to be rewarded. Ever!
Bye-Bye Hilton Hotels. You will never see me or my money again.
