The Kancamagus Scenic Highway is 35 miles of federal forest with no gas stations, power lines or any residential structures of any-kind for the entire trip. There are a variety of places to pull over and enjoy the spectacular views. There are also a number of hiking trails, ranger stations and rest stops that were placed at beautiful vistas. Another rest stop along the way...clearly marked pull over points will not disappoint travelers.
There are three "huts" along the way at paved and sheltered look out points...they chose this spots for the excellent views. Don't pass them by if you are looking for a photo op.
Kancamagus Pass is 2855 feet above sea level and one of the highest points you can travel by car throughout the entire year in the Northeast.
