Fall is a wonderful season with cooler weather and vibrant color that many appreciate after a hot a humid summer. It is a harvest time with an abundance of local and seasonal produce. There are many ways to let the fall season inspire your homes decor. Pumpkins, gourds, and changing leaves all can make sensational seasonal decorations. Here are a few ideas.....
Pumpkins are a favorite this season for picking and decorating (and of course using for decoration). Traditionally pumpkins are carved into jack o'lantern or have faces painted on them. Why not etch your pumpkin to display your house number or take a spin on traditional pumpkin painting with one of these unique ideas. Pumpkins can also be used as candleholders and serving dishes!
Changing leaves can be used for budget friendly decorating in festive arrangements or you can get crafty and make your own fall wreath. Foliage can even be used to transform simple glass candle holders into beautiful seasonal decor.
Candy Corn is such a popular treat this season why not let it have a little influence on your home decorating! Candy corn can be used in place of marbles in glass hurricanes. You can also recycle some old wine bottles using a little spray paint to make candy corn style vases!
New England may be one of the most popular fall destinations with some of the most spectacular fall foliage in the country.
