Happy Together Tour

Just when I thought my interest was over for pop concerts along comes the Happy Together Tour and Mary Ann and I went Friday night.  We had a blast!

The Happy Together Tour features a Baby Boomers dream line up from the 60"s with Flo & Eddie of The Turtles, Gary Puckett and the union gap, Gary U.S. Bonds, Chuck Negron of Three Dog Night and Jerry Lewis and The Playboys.  We moved down to the VIP seats on the 6th row for a close up view in the thick of things.

Mary Ann like Gary U.S. Bonds who did the do wop things and got the crowd going.  Flo & Eddie of The Turtles were an act unto themselves singing their hit Happy Today.

How could you not like Check Negron signing Joy to World, One and Mama told Me Not To Come.

The one that took me way back to the 60's was Gary Puckett, age 71 who did Young Girl and Lady Willpower.  Such a classy guy and appears to be in great shape and looking good.

The Baby Boomer crowd had such a good time clapping and signing along.  If you are an older Boomer and this tour comes near you, do yourself a favor and go see it.

Some of the oldies are still the best even if the voices are not as they were.

Such a wonderful blast from the past.  Something I truly would have enjoyed Robert.  Thanks for that little trip down Memory Lane.

This sounds like such fun!  I had such a crush on Chuck Negron, Three Dog Night was my favorite group back in the 70's.  I still love all their songs.  I had a front row seat several years ago to see Chuck and it was as if I were 16 again...loved it!

30 Years of Real Estate Experience!

Robert, you are so lucky to have seen this!  I have seen three of those you mention in concert - Turtles, Flo & Eddy & Gary Puckett.

From that genre, I have also seen Grass Roots, Mamas & the Pappas, Beach Boys, Tommy James, Paul Revere & the Raiders, 5th Dimension, Bachman Turner Overdrive, the Monkees, Peter, Paul & Mary...

Seeing Don McLean sing American Pie first hand was a hugely memorable experience.

I would have loved to have gone to this!!!  So glad you were able to attend and get to enjoy this wonderful concert!

Bet you had a good time! My wife likes a lot of the current groups, so no oldies tours for me. (Not that I care. Not a music buff anyway!)
