Smart phones I will admit are one of the very best things to help REALTORS® and Consumers when buying or selling a home.
- Most people have a smart phone now-a-days
- Technolgy has advance so much we can now view forms and paperwork via our phones
- We can TEXT a quick messages back and forth.
But please, please if you are buying or selling a home, do not rely on TEXT to negotiate your offer and handle all the details and deadlines during the real estate transaction.
Buying or Selling a home is a HUGE undertaking. It is one of the largest investments you may ever do in your life.
To think that you can TEXT everything back and forth is unrealistic...(I love TEXT! However the rest of the world isn't quite ready yet)
Some of you treat TEXT like email. They are SOOOOOO LONG!
Others answer with one word ACRONYMS. (ha?)
If you do not have access to a computer or tablet then we will need work the old fashion way.
- You can fax your paperwork to me I have a FREE iFax for your use.
- You can drop paperwork off at my office. I am there all the time
- If you need to make copies of documents for the loan officer, don't hesitate to call me and I will meet you at the office and help you do that.
"I am one of the most TECH SAVVY Agents around." I have no problem using TEXT and quick messages back and forth. I also have all the tech tools needed to expidite your offer to the other agent, the lender and the title company.
Where the breakdown comes is that the banking world, the people who give you the money "Moo-la, Bacon, Cash" need full documentation.
They will NOT except a screen shot from your iPhone. They need wet signatures on many of the forms they send you.
So just know when it comes to buying a home, you may have to slow down, make a few calls, and print off the full statements and scan them to send to your loan officer. The great news if you chose to work with me, I will make sure to keep you on task every step of the way.
PS:just because you think you sent the lender everything they needed from your iPhone doesn't mean they received it. Personal information gets stripped or encrypted when you try to forward.
