Stuck in a rut…

Cartoon Car Crash

Once in awhile an “Aha!” moment flashes in the brain – recognizing that there is a similarity which we can relate to personally. I noticed yesterday a mud-splattered pickup truck with an All Terrain Vehicle in the back – also freshly mudded. Were they running together/did one get stuck?

In our profession as REALTORS® we too can get bogged down from time to time. The methodologies we use every day can feel comfortable and we’re used to those procedures. Sometimes though we might misjudge the road conditions and find ourselves sideways in the ditch!

Whether working with Seller clients or prospective Buyers, the timing may suggest that we step on either the gas or the brake. Negotiating potential roadblocks such as Getting Past Hesitations keeps our wits sharp and reminds us not to overdrive. Sharp curves we might encounter are Getting Past Objections.

As Winter approaches, think about Reasons to List during the holidays instead of hibernating till Spring!

Driver Training and “refresher courses” will keep your senses keen and give you all-season confidence in changing conditions. If you’re tootling along at below the speed limit it might be a good time to change gears and hurtle forward if you’re stuck in a rut.

Sheridan, thanks for challenging us to keep plowing ahead regardless of whether our past practicdes have accustomed us to accept this upcoming season as less active than the last.
