Teller County Colorado Real Estate Market Report September 2013

Teller County sits to the West of Colorado Springs up in the front range mountains that are seen looking West from Colorado Springs.  With Cripple Creek Colorado as the County seat the county is rich with history, an active gold mine, stunning natural beauty, state parks, wildlife, fishing and a wonderful mountain lifestyle with real estate that comes in many shapes and sizes.  Woodland Park sits just over the county line from El Paso County and is a beautiful mountain town in Teller County with all the amenities (grocery stores, hardware stores, restaurants, movie theaters, mechanics, and easy access to Colorado Springs to the East and skiing in the high country to the West).

In September 2013, there were 483 single family homes for sale in Teller County.  These can range from a house on a 60 x 100 lot in town to a ranch on 100's of acres.   Of these:

 

  • 358 are active on the market
  • 41 are under contract
  • 6 are under contract short sales
  • 35 are pending
  • 40 are sold

 

Teller County continues to have an active real estate market.  The minimum sold price for September 2013 was $29,900 and maximum was $726,000.  The average sales price was $248,259.    List prices ranged from 25,000 with a maximum price of $4,495,000.
