It's about halfway there... (probably more than that, but it seems I still have so much to do...)
Anyway I have had requests to see the progress, so I thought I would post some pix...
Remember it was gutted down to the studs & most of the walls moved or removed at one point, so I guess it has come a long way... :)
The wall on the right was moved 3 feet into the 'office' nee original dining room. I haven't found counter tops yet, but the plumber was nice enough to set me up with a temporary kitchen sink so I could stop doing dishes in the ensuite sink. :) Tiling has begun on the walls & the floor needs to be leveled before tile goes down there... I haven't decided on handles yet for the cabinets either.
I knew I needed an office & the original dining room was the perfect locale. Lots of light (although all the windows need replaced) I have a 280 degree view of the neighbourhood!
I think the bathroom is the most amazing transformation... (as most are) to the right of the showerhead was a compartment for the original water heater. It had leaked for years & the floor of the compartment had rotted, so I placed the new heater in the laundry room so I could have a full sized bath tub! Tiling is about half finished and counter tops have yet to be found.
This is part of the addition. It's not a large living room, but there is space for a dining area at the photo's POV so it works great! New ceilings with a plaster finish & a beautiful light fixture have changed it dramatically!
I work on this every day & soon it will be finished, then I can hang my art etc & make it a real home... And get back to WORK!
