It made me laugh too Lenn, and the choice was not a hard one at all!  Shoes off it is :)

Thanks Wanda!  I love clever signs like this - there is one local holiday bazaar booth that is full of cute signs and every year, it's surrounded by people reading them out loud to each other & giggling and giggling!

Nancy I can hear my Mom saying for years - take off your shoes!  She should have added the 2nd option.  Love it!

We were never a shoes off house growing up, but you better believe when I got my first place I was a shoes off place. Have been ever since.

Subtle message that packs a punch. How could anyone not love your choice.

Hi Kathy! Clever signs can be such a great way to convey a message - and in a way that makes people smile instead of bristle.

Anna, my mom also would remind....and remind....and remind us kids to take off our shoes. Pretty sure the floor scrubbing choice would've gotten our attention the very first time! LOL

Chris Ann, my mom eventually settled for us wiping our feet off before tracking half the yard into the house, but figured the shoe off thing was a lost cause. And I admit to mixed success in my own house (tho my own shoes are off the minute I hit the door - I love being barefoot!)

Hi Joe! Yep, a choice like that definitely gets my attention! And is a very easy decision - off with those shoes! :)

Nancy, I want one of those signs for Willie, my Labradoodle.  He came in tonight with totally muddy paws and didn't take them off at the door!

Hahaha Patricia! My Lab, Daisy, is also very happy to prance through the door with wet or muddy paws - think we can teach them to scrub floors?

Nancy, great sign!  I must say that most of our teenage visitors automatically take took their shoes off when visiting our home when our kids were in high school.  We were very impressed with their manners!!!

That is impressive Sharon & Bruce! Sounds like your kids had well mannered friends - isn't that nice to see? And it does tend to make them welcome guests.
