Steve Olson-Metrolist Prime Access, A Great Platform

Broker IPTV : We are talking today with Steve Olson from Prestige Real Estate Group LLC and a past chair of the South Metro Denver Realtors Associations. Steve, welcome, good to have you here.


Steve Olson: Thank you, it is a pleasure to be here.


Steve Olson: I know you have the lot of involvement with Metrolist and so our first topic today is talking about Prime Access. It is roughly a year old, tell me what you think so for.


Steve Olson: Well I think Prime Access really is the great platform and something that was brought forward by Metrolist to help us is brokers, be more efficient in our real estate needs and that really keeping up-to-date with the modern technologies out there and gives me platform, a very secure platform to search for listings, I am really enjoying it.


Broker IPTV : I was going to say, do you have both feet firmly in prime Access or you similar like some realtors who have one in MyMLS and one in Prime Access have you made the complete switch.


Steve Olson: Not that complete switch, because you always fall back to what is comfortable deal with you, but I am adopting it more and more everyday, it has a lot of features that you have to get use to, but once you get use to them like, the CMA or the competitive market analysis feature, it gives you a little bit of an edge and in getting quality data and presenting at in the new formative way to your clients and customers, so I am getting there, I am almost there.


Broker IPTV : I know they have been rolling out modules and adding a little bit more in a little bit more as time as gone on over the last 12 months, what's the latest feature?


Steve Olson: The most exciting one that I think right now is the shared data arrangements that we have now established with IRES [phonetic]. You can search for listing along the entire front range, so if I put in search criteria, I am in one of those areas that over laps between Metrolist and IRES, I know I am going to get the complete rich data feed and in an area it might be Longmont or somewhere in between that you don't where their listing is being input Irish or Metrolist, I am unable to get all that data.


Broker IPTV : Does this make the Metrolist more valuable to the realtors?


Steve Olson: Well, certainly Metrolist is such a valuable resource to us and Metrolist is own five realtors, it is own by the six shareholders from the associations then it is our platform and our market place, so that we can transact business in an easy way. You can think of it like NASDAQ or the Dow Jones [phonetic], it is the market place and what would it be like if we were in market place with out Metrolist, it would be chaos.


Broker IPTV : I was going to say, just in the side note, do you know of areas like, I heard that New York City does not have an MLS?


Steve Olson: Well I haven't heard specific stories about no MLS, but we certain I am sure they exist and how would you business, it would be very difficult.


Broker IPTV : Drive around the place.


Steve Olson: Yeah, exactly.
