We are tasked with choosing three people from Active Rain that we would like to meet, a seemingly superhuman task considering the wealth of great relationships I have developed here at Active Rain.
There is really no way to pick out just three people as many names have been floating through my head but one of them that kept coming to the forefront is a Realtor extraordinaire from Albuquerque, John McCormack is the choice.
John is a bit of what I would call a "gentle giant" and I am not speaking of stature in the traditional way , but of stature in the business and the community. John puts his clients needs first, always. I remember one of his blogs when he mentioned getting a phone call in the middle of the night from some clients who had just arrived at their new home and wanted John to help them move in. John and Debbie got out of bed and went over and pitched in to help. A bit above and beyond and I am not sure how many of us would have done the same, but that's John.
I think I can relate to John a bit because he started in real estate a bit later in life as I did and I think we are at least in the same ballpark of age groups. I have seen how successful he has become in the relative short time he has been in the business and that has been an inspiration to me.
It seems there is nothing related to the business that he does not know, I dare anyone to try to stump him, ha ha.
But most of all, the main reason I would like to meet John and of course his lovely wife Debbie, is that he is just a good guy and they are good people. You can feel his smile come through in every post he writes, and that is a gift.
So John, if you are ever in my area, or I am in yours, I hope we can get together for a bit of conversation and a few laughs.
If you haven't had a chance to meet John, it's not too late to make another great friend in the Rain, stop by and say hi to John, you will be glad you did.
