Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City celebrates it’s 75th anniversary with THE MAIN EVENT. This fun filled day will feature some of the best local entertainment and restaurant offerings and health and wellness samplings. There will also be giveaways, activities for the kids and a chance to meet and workout with “the Biggest Loser” celebrity trainer Dolvett Quince.
Dolvett Quince is committed to “changing lives one rep at a time” and believes in the importance of reshaping one’s self mentally in order to transform physically. Quince will talk about his lifestyle approach that goes beyond physical appearance. As one ofAmerica’s most sought-after trainer, Quince will focus on mental health, nutrition, spirituality, environment, fat loss, strength training and cardiovascular exercise. Join Dolvett Quince at 1:50 pm and 3:25 pm for a fun and high energy workout!
Also performing on the Main Stage will be QUIXOTIC. This ensemble of artist from various disciplines including aerial acrobatics and dance explore the infinite possibilities of movement, sound and multimedia.
Have fun and get healthy with ZUMBATOMIC. Zumbatomic gives people the power to take control of their health by teaching them that getting fit can be fun. This is a party designed to promote good health, cardio exercise and energetic movement, all of which children and adults need for healthy bodies.
And race through the Adrenaline Zone, the area’s largest inflatable obstacle course! From the moment you set your eyes on the large inflatable obstacle course you’ll want to test your talents. Designed for kids and adults, this fun activity will fuel your competitive spirit and channel your mental toughness.
Meet Royals Team Nutritionist and author of “The All-Pro Diet,” Mitzi Dulan. She has been a guest on more than 300 television shows including The Dr. Oz Show and is a nationally recognized nutrition and wellness expert.
There are plenty of activities for the kids in the KID ZONE… Experience rhythm and world instruments with Drum Safari. Enjoy comedy and zany stunts with Flying Debrisand express yourself with a face painting by Sister Act. Also Cooking with Bistro Kids will hold cooking demonstrations throughout the event.
Main Street will be blocked off between Pershing and 19th streets for this event. Parking is available along the street and at free and paid parking lots in the area including Union Station.
