Richie, I think you said it perfectly, we want to be wowed and because that doesn't happen very often, when it does it stands out in the crowd.
Richie, As always well stated. When one goes beyond what others expect it is such a pleasure for the person receiving the service. I believe the same goes for the person giving the service as well. When I go somewhere be it a store, restaurant or whatever, I truly want the best service I can get. If in a clothing store for example, I do not want to browse through all of the merchandise unless I am window shopping. I want someone to help me find what I am looking for and who knows their merchandise. I always end up purchasing more than I thought when this happens, and when it does not I tend not to purchase anything. Restaurants are hopefully a place to relax and enjoy one's meal and when made extraordinarily pleasant then the rewards are greater for the one who is giving the service.
Hello Mary...Your comment is a tasty post of itself to partake of...Yes to when I go shopping, I want to be escorted to what I want and offered choices. I also buy more than I planned when this happens..God sharing here and thank you
Richie, customer service is the crowning jewel of any successful business. Personally, I love being wowed but am satisfied when the person delivers what they promised. Using your restaurant example, my waiter doesn't have to exceed my expectations (but that is always welcome) but they always have to deliver on what they promised.
Under-performing and shortchanging your customers is never good, especially if your business thrives on customer service. Always remember to put your best foot forward and the rest will come to you.
Thanks for your post!
This is a great post, Richie. I think when we do go over and above it is noted because so many just do the bare minimum.
GOOD RAIN
Hello Phil...A comment fit to be post at any point and time this comment of yours...Well done and thank you
Hello Jane...Yes Jane to your sharing statement...People notice when the bare minimum as you put it is out and about. If we are going to engage, why not at full throttle...?
