The Willows is located next to a large shopping area (Target, Walmart, dining and many of the popular commercial retail stores). There is also a hospital near by, ASU East Campus, Mesa Gateway Airport and the 202 San Tan Freeway. 

There are also many parks in the neighborhood and 2 community pools. The streets are lined with trees and the front yards are well landscaped with grass and plants.

Inside The Willows community there is an Elementary school, Gateway Pointe. It is a K-8th grade. There are other choices such as Liberty Arts Academy and Gilbert Arts Academy. The High School is Higley High.
