Emotional Needs of Clients VS Supportive Roles of Agents

By
Real Estate Agent with Better Homes and Gardens The Masiello Group

I am always amazed at how closely I get to know my clients during the few months we work together, and at how crucial that is to our completing a transaction together.  Not only do clients share with me their biggest dreams about where they wish to live, but I learn what they are motivated by, what their personal concerns are, and take them on as my own while I approach the business transaction with with consideration of their goals and their personal needs.

With each client comes a period early on where we decide how we are going to work together.  What type of rapport will we have and what boundaries will each of us maintain.  Some people have tight boundaries, while others allow me to see emotions they need to sort through in order to reach that point where they have processed that their goals truly are right for them.  When that happens, I am let into a world where I can offer guidance and unbelievable emotional support.  Our conversations range from business to personal as they sort through their priorities aloud with me, and I am Listener. I don't mind this, and as I said, each client shares with me what they wish.  Some have spouses or family to process through these challenges with.  Others find friendship through our work together.

I continue to work with buyers and sellers, prospectors and lookers, each at their own level in the process of life planning and it is very interesting work.  I appreciate having worked through 2 years of grad school studying for my Masters in Leadership and Management at Antioch University where I came to better understand more about these processes people go through and how to manage the process given the very nature that humans bring, as complex beings.

I have been blessed and rewarded in the 12 years of my work in real estate and I thank every client for what they teach me.

Thank you!

It always seems a bit sad when you shake hands after handing over the keys and go your seperate  ways.  As you said, you do pour your self into someone for a long time during the whole house purchase process.  I am trying to do better at keeping in touch after the sale
