Sister Bay's Fall Festival: Camel Rides, Pumpkin Bowling, Ping-Pong Ball Drop and More.
So much more! What started as a party for local businesses and residents getting ready to shut down for the season (which no longer happens for most Sister Bay businesses) has turned into one of Wisconsin's most popular festivals.
From some of my favorite foods that I can only get once each year in Sister Bay, to some of my favorite bands, Sister Bay's Fall Festival for 2013 promises not to disappoint. Fall Festival is famous for the Ping Pong Ball shoot, where 10,000 ping pong balls are shot into the crowds, many balls have prizes written on them for you to claim from local businesses.
Chilly weather is predicted, so pack warm clothes (gloves are good for holding cold beverages). Come early, as parking becomes congested; however, area hotels do offer trolley rides downtown for guests.
What can you expect for Fall Festival 2013 in Sister Bay?
Fall Fest 2013 – Friday
through Sunday, October 18-20, 2013
The “Granddaddy” of all Door County festivals, 2013 will mark the 68th annual Fall Fest in Sister Bay. What began as a celebration and reward for the Door County tourist workers after a busy summer season has evolved into one of the largest weekend celebrations on the peninsula! A parade, arts & crafts fair, food booths, live entertainment, and children’s activities make this a “must-do” weekend, but the real fun lies in one of the Fest’s oldest traditions – the famed Ping-Pong Ball Shoot. An astonishing 10,000 Ping-Pong balls are released on Sunday afternoon, with a one in ten chance of winning a prize from a participating Sister Bay business!
Sister Bay Classic Car Show (Friday, Saturday & Sunday on W. Mill Road): Display your car, truck, hotrod, muscle car, or classic car and help the Lions Club with their fundraiser. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER & to view photos of past Car Shows. Register before October 10 and SAVE $5!

On my personal bucket list this year? I have two friends entering the sloppy joe eating contest, so I want to watch that. Bacchus Lotus is a great band, so I'll be visiting Grasse's Grill. The food is not to be missed, so I'll be sure to grab something between showing houses. The streets of downtown Sister Bay are closed for this festival, so make sure to find alternative traffic routes.
Have a wonderful Fall Festival weekend!
