AT HOME in Hampton New Hampshire - Hampton is located right along the tiny coast of New Hampshire

Hampton has 2 elementary schools, and a junior high school.  Schooling in Hampton includes kindergarten as well.

Hampton is very much a family-oriented town, and you'll see that reflected in the school programs, Seacoast United Soccer Arenaas well as in the events throughout the year.

Seacoast United Soccer makes its home in Hampton where they have an indoor arena.  They now boast 40 teams, and have been named by Nike as one of its Premier Soccer Clubs around the country.  Check out their programs - they offer lacrosse, field hockey, and more.

What a great location Hampton has - right off I-95 for ease of commuting, Route 1 runs through town, and it's right on the coast with the Atlantic Ocean as part of its playground.  Hampton is about 35 minutes from Boston, 10 minutes from Portsmouth NH, an easy 35-40 minute drive to Manchester NH & Manchester Airport.  All kinds of winter skiing came be found as close as about an hour away.  Summer fun is right here at Hampton's door - beaches and ocean fun galore.                                                  Hampton Beach Sign

When the railroad was constructed back in the 1850's, Hampton quickly became a very popular summer resort.  Hampton Beach offers all kinds of summer fun, including the famous Hampton Beach Casino, where performers from all over have played.  Some of this past year's headliners included: Steve Winwood, Leanne Rimes, Chicago, Jeff Beck, Ziggy Marley, Indigo Girls, and more.  Every year, their line-up is full of great performers!

Gena - thank YOU for that great feedback!  It is a pretty area, and our coast, although a small 17 miles long, really has some spectacular areas and scenery.  Hampton is one of 5 towns along our coastline.

Come for a visit - I'll show you around!!   ;-)

Nice post Ann, I love Hampton and we saw Arlo Guthrie in Winnicunnet HS a few years back. We also love the Old Salt restaurant. Route 1 is busy during the summer but Moni and I used go up and down there looking at Antiques in the Fall and Spring.

I love your photos Ann, Like Jay said we love that area. We go to the "New" Old Salt but I don't like it as much as I liked the "Old" Old Salt. Loved eating at the old place and then going across the road to walk the beach!

Jay & Monika - I used to go up and down Route 1 antiquing, too.  Wouldn't that be funny if we had been in some of the same places at the same time?  Some of the places I used to go to aren't there any more.  Time changes all things.

I think Bear and I met you guys at the 'old' Old Salt one time years ago.  I remember it was a place you had picked on the beach, but I don't remember much more than that.  It was a long time ago.  I haven't been to the 'new' Old Salt, but I've heard the same thing - that it just isn't the same.

Thanks for reading and commenting!

Mariana - thank YOU!!!  When I do my posts, I have to admit, it does take me what seems like forever!  I tend to be a perfectionist, so I labor over these to try to get them to be perfect.  They never are but I sure try, and of course, that takes alot of time.  I need to learn to do as others have said, don't worry about them being literary masterpieces, just get the info up and posted.

Thanks for your feedback!

Ines - thanks for your great feedback, too!  Yes, I took the pictures.  I've been working on trying to take better pictures lately, that really show the local areas so readers of my posts get to see the best I can show them.  I did just sign up for those tours - got my info up there, now need to fiddle around with them and learn to use them.  You'll be seeing them on my posts very soon!  Thanks for the encouragement.

Gena - thanks again for reading and for your comments.  I do put alot of work into my local posts so that people will, hopefully, feel just as you described, and I'm glad you felt just that way.  ;-)

Thanks for reading and for your comments!  I'm glad everyone enjoyed this post, as well as my others on my local areas.
