You want to begin by getting pre-qualified with a lender for a loan amount you can afford. You don't want to go shopping, find a house in Idaho, fall in love with it and then go to the lender and find out you can't afford it. That is an unpleasant situation. If you don't have a lender that you're working with find a real estate agent in Idaho that you trust and that you are going to work with and they have lender resources that you can use.
